Something for my son!

Hi Friends,

Just a quick stop to show you my latest project I made for my son. He loves Minecraft as a lot of kids and adults do!

I've been wanting to make him a cushion for his bed and decided to buy all the bits and put it together when I found a free moment. I don't sew so the cushion cover (which I think is a perfect colour match) and cushion inner were purchased from Ikea. I had some black HTV at home already so all I needed to do was create the 'Creeper' face and decide on the layout and size.

To save on vinyl (which is costly to waste) I ended up cutting each face individually instead of on one big sheet and just eyeballed it when I ironed them onto the cover. It was pretty easy to lay them out - I started at the top, then matched the bottom three, then the middle three and then I filled in the row of two's.

Now it's back to creating my festive teacher gifts!

Thank you for visiting!
Happy Crafting!

Daddy's corner!

Hi everyone!

It's my husbands birthday on Friday and I had no idea what to get him for his special forty-something day! He's always 'hogging' the right side of the couch so I decided to make him his own cushion (cover) to mark his spot :-).

A few of my crafty friends in Canada suggested a cushion cover from Ikea so I just happened to be there yesterday for something else and found the cover for $4.99. They have various colours but I went for the grey (UK spelling!). Gurli cushion cover.

I used my awesome Silhouette machine and flocked heat transfer vinyl and my trusty ol' iron...

Nice and simple but marks his corner - I've left it in on the couch in the living room so it will be interesting to see if he notices it before Friday.

Have a happy day!
