Pink Castle treat!

Hi Friends,

Thank you for joining me today! I have a Castle treat box to share with you for my monthly inspiration over at Silhouette Challenges - Challenge #37 - Anything Goes!

I found this cute castle treat box over at the Silhouette Design Store by a designer called Studio Ilustrado who you can also find on Facebook. After choosing my cute glitter and dotty paper I cut and glued it together.

I filled it up with a few cute pink treats for a sweet, strong, little girl in my sons school who is going through a hard time with Epilepsy and I hope this would just take her mind off things even for a little while.

I wrapped it up and tied with a ribbon and added a watermelon card that I had left over from another project.

Card ... oh card!

Hello everyone!

I love using my die cutting machine for all my projects - especially 3D projects which are awesome! - but I'm struggling a bit with cards ...!

So todays challenge to myself was to make a thank you card for our neighbour who baked my hubby a rhubarb crumble for his birthday and to thank her for making me buy some vanilla bean ice cream to go with it! ;-)

I love the last minute addition of the flower and accessory!

I had an already made card base from Michaels in my stash so I decided to use that - anything to ease myself into cards - and the patterned paper is from the 'South of Market' collection paper pad, Studio Calico (which has some fab patterns).

Inkspirational: Challenge #87

Time away from the craft room ...!

Hello everyone,

My son is on Summer vacation for 2 weeks and we've been running around with chores at home and out 'n about!

We did find some time to chill ... for a little while. I love coming to my favourite bookstore, Chapters - I browse through the books, stop for a coffee and do all my creative thinking here. If my son is with me I usually bring his iPod and let him play games while I surf the web ...

My handsome young man!

So I've been researching printers - and wow - there are so many great options out there and I'm finding it difficult to choose, but have narrowed it down to a Canon or an Epson! - I'll update once I've made my selection. I'm printing lots of digital paper and need something that will make the designs blast with colour!

I'm off to have some FUN in the SUN with my son and will be back to craft soon - my Silhouette machine is gathering dust and I'm itching to create something :-).
